Top-10 Finish For Grant Enfinger At Gateway

"Not the day we wanted, we didn't come out here for eighth, but I am definitely proud of the effort - proud of the improvements we made on our FarmPaint.com F-150. It was too tight the first stage. The second stage we made it a lot better, but then it started getting too hot and we actually had to come in, unscheduled, and cool it down. Unfortunately, that caused us to lose some track position from there. We were able to scrap, claw and fight our way back to eighth. So, I'm proud of the improvements, we've just got some cleaning up to do before the Playoffs." Grant Enfinger -- World Wide Technology Raceway Preview

“Gateway is a track I feel like owes us a little bit. The last couple years we’ve led a lot of laps and we’ve had an F-150 capable of winning each of the last couple races there, and it just hasn’t played out the way we needed it to at the end. Hopefully we can get a little redemption this weekend. The track will be a little bit different Sunday. The last couple of years they’ve used the PJ1 in the middle groove there, this year they aren’t doing that – I’m assuming it’s because we’re running with Indy Car and they usually don’t run PJ1. The other big difference this weekend is, no pit crews. We only have a chance to change tires during the two stage breaks – so that’ll be a little bit diffe

Grant Enfinger -- Dover Preview

“We’ve still got a few races left in the Regular Season, so the goal on this No. 98 ThorSport Racing team is hopefully to get another win or two and hopefully accumulate more points, to get us further up in the regular season point standings, which will seed us that much better for the Playoffs. I’m looking forward to this next group of tracks - Dover (International Speedway) and Gateway (World Wide Technology Raceway) are places we’ve run well at in the past and I’m also really excited about Darlington (Raceway) and Richmond (Raceway) because I’ve never raced there, and I’m really looking forward to it.” Grant Enfinger, No. 98 FarmPaint.com/Curb Records Ford F-150 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoor

Grant Enfinger -- Daytona International Speedway Road Course Preview

How do you prepare for the Daytona International Speedway Road Course, with no practice, and the added pressure of this being the first race of the Triple Truck Challenge? “Pretty much the only preparation we’ll get for the Daytona Road Course is through simulation and I’ve been able to log quite a bit of laps on the simulator through our friends at Ford Performance. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of questions that we won’t have answers to until the race starts. So, this race is gonna be crazy, a lot of thinking on your feet. We’ll have to play strategy by ear, based on what happens in the beginning stages of the race, but it’s definitely going to be different than normal because we’ve

Grant Enfinger -- Michigan International Speedway Preview

“Michigan is kinda like the old school Richard Petty days at Daytona and Talladega. You need the draft to run fast there, but you can’t stay side-by-side, otherwise your draggin’ everybody back. So, if you’re going to get around somebody, you gotta do it in a hurry. If you dive underneath them, and don’t clear’em you may lose six, seven, eight spots. In my opinion, this race is the most entertaining race we have all year, from a fan standpoint. If you make a little mistake and don’t lose a spot, it’s not a big deal, you can suck back up to the pack, but if you make a mistake, in terms of getting out of line, or get freight trained, you can lose your air really quick and hit the wall, hard.
