Grant Enfinger Wins In Atlanta With Last-Lap Pass - Claims His Second Victory of 2020
"First of all, Chris Lambert (spotter) said it perfectly on the radio, this race was won at the shop. We didn't have the best truck on the long run, but we had the best truck on the short run. I feel like the good Lord was looking out for us - it's a special weekend. I wanna say congratulations to my grandparents in Pensacola, they're celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. Sorry I couldn't be there but thank you to everyone who made it special. Man, this one is for them. It was just an incredible turn of events there on the restart. I was able to nail the gears right there, something we've been intermitten with, but we had the drive built into the truck. We had the short-run speed and that's what it came down to in the end."
On taking the lead on the final restart...
"That was fun but it's good to have a great Ford F-150, like we've got. It's really special to have FarmPaint.com on here, Tim Dugger, who is really special to NASCAR, Mike Curb, Curb Records - everyone who lets us do this. This one means a lot. Duke and Rhonda Thorson kept everything going, kept everyone employed with a paycheck going through this pandemic to hopefully put ourselves in a good position when we went back racing. So, thank you to them and just everyone who allows us to do this. That was just an awesome restart right there."
