News and Notes:

  • Phoenix Profile... Grant Enfinger will make his third career NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start at ISM Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona. Friday night. In two previous starts, the ThorSport Racing driver has a track-best start of ninth (2017) and has led 10 laps en route to a track-best finish of fourth (2018).

  • A Career Best… Although Enfinger was eliminated from the Round of 6, following an engine failure at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the ThorSport Racing driver is still on a career-best run this season in laps led (303) and top-10 finishes (16). In fact, if Enfinger can capture a top-five finish at ISM Raceway Friday night, he will surpass his season-best, nine top-five finishes.

  • Chassis Chatter... The No. 98 ThorSport Racing team will unload chassis No. 42 for Friday night’s 29th annual Lucas Oil 150 at ISM Raceway. In four starts this season, this particular chassis has led five laps en route to two top-five and four top-10 finishes.

  • Ford Fact… Ford powered F-150's have found victory lane 99 times since 1995 in the Gander Trucks, including three times at ISM Raceway with Joe Ruttman (1997), Mike Bliss (1998) and Greg Biffle (2001).

  • Take Me Back – Martinsville… Enfinger started ninth, finished ninth in Stage 1 and led seven laps in Stage 2, finishing second. Unfortunately, the ThorSport Racing driver got caught-up in a late-race, multi truck incident at lap 129 of 200, which ultimately brought out the red flag. Making multiple trips down pit road to repair damage to his F-150, the team was able to stay on the lead lap and salvage a top-five finish, finishing fourth in the NASCAR Hall of Fame 200 at Martinsville Speedway.

  • Truck Series Stats… Enfinger has 81 career Gander Truck starts to his credit since 2010. His success includes five poles and 574 laps led en route to two wins, 27 top-five and 51 top-10 finishes.

Chatting with Grant Enfinger...

“Phoenix (ISM Raceway) is different from any other track on the schedule, which makes it a great place to go. Turns 1 and 2 are wide sweeping, but not much banking to hold you. Turns 3 and 4 are pretty tight with more banking. The placement of the start finish line has definitely made the restarts crazy. It’ll fan out on the short straight, but then everyone has to funnel back in to enter the corner. We had a strong run at Phoenix last year, so I’m confident that our ThorSport Racing F-150 will be ready to contend for a win Friday night.”
